The Hawthorne Roots bring a soulful and energetic performance to the stage, every lyric sung with true passion and genuine elegance. Their repertoire explores different emotions and pushes the boundaries of what is known as The Americana genre of music. Their unique style of Revved Up Soul Music has gained momentum and admiration within the northwest community and  beyond. They do not write by the rules. Joe Seely & Brett Benton

Brett Benton - Alabama-born and Southern-raised, Brett “Bad Blood” Benton left the city of Pensacola, FL to perform his hill country and delta style of blues around the country and the world. Currently in the Pacific Northwest, he has played festivals such as the Columbia City Blues Festival, The Taste of Snohomish Music Blues Festival, The Walla Walla Guitar Festival, & the Sunbanks Music Festival. As of late he is the recipient of the Washington Blues Society BB Award for Best Acoustic Blues Artist of 2017.

Joseph Seely - A singer/songwriter originally from northwest Montana, crafted his sound by blending musical styles such as blues and country to deliver a unique Americana sound. All the while, staying true to folk music's tradition of storytelling.  As a song-writer Joseph has traveled and performed all across the mid-west. All the while working with artist such as Anthony Smith, Grayson Capps, Anthony Crawford, Savannah Lee & more..

Margarita Monday - Woodblind

Wood Blind features the combo of Duluth mainstay and guitarist Jason Wussow and Los Angeles studio/ touring bass player Veikko Lepisto. Wussow’s credits include the bands Flux Skapacitor, No Room to Pogo, Yeltzi, Fuzzy Ellis and ownership of all-ages music venue Beaner’s Central. Lepisto has worked with Mike Ness of Social Distortion, Royal Crown Revue and Bette Midler while on the West Coast. Teamed together they make acoustic ska à la 1960s’ Jamaica and 70s’ England. Their sets include traditional reggae, ska versions of classic rock and R&B hits, and original rocksteady numbers.

Here to Make Friends

 

Here To Make Friends is a musical trio that currently resides in the beautiful Kalispell, Montana. It is comprised of Tabitha Spencer, Paul Merendino Jr., and Nate Slemmer. A few of their musical influences are David Bowie, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Jon Brion, and Carol King. They love performing classic rock music from the 60’s and 70’s and try to throw in their best original work to create shows they know their fans will enjoy.
